All the best to you all for the current season!

COPPICE BELLA ROSA

Coppice Fanfare

ex Coppice Briar Rose (Glenfall Exelsior ex Blossom of Luckdon)
Piebald filly to make 40+”, born 7 May 2007

The chunkiest foal that Rosie has had by Fanfare, with a very neat head.  Will be retained to build up our broken-coloured stock and produced a pretty bay filly to Abbotsford Ice Cube (Lolly) in 2013.  Now broken to ride and doing well in LR and FR classes.

Pictured August 2010.

COPPICE BEULAH

Dryknowl Colcarrick (chestnut and white 39.75")

ex Coppice Butterfly (Blue and white 38")

Blue and white filly to make 38/39", born 28 May 2015.

Exquisite filly, a granddaughter of Coppice Fanfare on both sides and has inherited his active hocks and movement.  Long legs so I'd expect her to be taller than her mother and could make a good 39".  Very sweet but plenty of presence for the show ring.

Pictured August 2015, having a little doze!

COPPICE PRINCESS

Coppice Bandsman

ex Coppice Posy
Chestnut & white filly to make 39”, born 14 June 2008

A very smart, well-marked filly, typical chunky Bandsman/Posy foal.  Show quality and will make a good in hand or ridden show prospect. Had a well-marked skebald colt  to Dryknowl Colcarrick in 2014.  Very sweet and quiet and would make a smashing children's ridden pony, or a fun in hand mare.  Only for sale as she is not being covered this year and is totally wasted.

Pictured May 2015.

COPPICE MERCURY

Abbotsford Ice Cube 'Lolly' (Grey)

ex Riccalton Marigold (Chestnut roan)

Impressive, tall colt with big limbs and a very pretty 'Lolly' head.  From sought-after Southley & Riccalton bloodlines.  Now chestnut roan and could go grey later.  Very good mover.  Outstanding ridden prospect.

COPPICE WILLOW

Coppice Bandsman

ex Seva Wednesday
Skewbald 38”, born April 2005

Absolutely top class, well-marked show mare, taking many firsts at county level and always highly placed even in large classes of big blacks.  Had a smart chestnut and white filly in 2009.

Pictured in October 2013.

COPPICE BRYONY ROSE

Coppice Fanfare

ex Coppice Briar Rose

COPPICE VENTURE

Coppice Fanfare

ex Coppice Dolly Vera

Very handsome boy with a super topline, the active movement of his father and his mother's quality.  First time out at the Shetland Performance Show July 2014, winning the 2/3 year old standards and taking standard junior champion.  Brave and sensible but full of presence, he will make a smashing ridden pony.

COPPICE VENTURE

COPPICE DOLLY MARIE

Coppice Dandy Jack

ex Coppice Dolly Vera (Scamells Cracker ex Coppice Dolly Virginia)
Black mare 39", born May 2004

A very feminine, elegant mare - very much of the 'Dolly' line.  Glossy jet black, beautiful head and eye and active, flowing paces that cover the ground.

Dolly Marie was professionally broken and schooled by Natalie Greasley and goes forward in a good outline and lovely manners.

Dolly Marie is currently based at a children's yard in Worcester, where she has been since August 2013.  She has now done just about everything, including helping several tiny people to come off the lead.  She is an old hand at horse agility and mounted games, has done show classes on and off the lead, jumps small worker courses, hacks out in all weathers and will stand for hours being dressed up as a princess.

Pretty, sweet and kind, she loves children and children love her. Would be a great pony for a family to do LR, FR, PC and fun stuff.

Pictured in July 2013 with four year old Evie.

... and in July 2013 with eight year old Kitty.

COPPICE BENEDICT

Coppice Fanfare

ex Coppice Briar Rose
Black colt to make 39”, born 22 June 2013

We were really hoping for another coloured foal from Rosie and Fanfare, like the last five foals they've had, particularly as this was Rosie's last foal before she retired.  So a black colt was not on the order book!  But this really is a smart little colt, very friendly and confident.  Should make a super children's pony.

Pictured March 2014.

COPPICE MAVERICK

Abbotsford Ice Cube (Lolly)

ex Riccalton Marigold
Roan gelding to make 40, born 20 May 2010

Lovely, smart gelding with substance and a very sweet temperament.  Super FR prospect..

Pictured June 2013 as a three year old.

COPPICE PAGAN

Coppice Bandsman

ex Coppice Posy (Coppice Bugle ex Newtown Peppermint)
Chestnut gelding 40.5", born 31 May 2007

Smashing big gelding with good limbs and substance and a kind, if cheeky, temperament.   Gorgeous colour and very eye-catching.  Broken in autumn 2011 and has done his first few shows in 2012, already winning his Novice LR ticket (he won't be entered this year, so will still be a novice LR next year).

Pagan is a lovely LR pony and is ready to go on as a junior's pony.

Pictured with Olivia (aged five) and Imogen, Shetland Performance Show, July 2012.

COPPICE DOLLAR BOY

Sapphire Vasheer

ex Coppice Dolly Diana
Black gelding to make 39”, born 18 May 2009

Smart little gelding with a pretty head, quite elegant but broad in the chest and with a good bum.  Sensible and bright, will make a super lead-rein and first ridden pony and would also drive.

Pictured May 2012.

COPPICE PRUDENCE

COPPICE BRIGITTA

Coppice Fanfare

ex Coppice Briar Rose (Glenfall Excelsior ex Blossom of Luckdon)
Skewbald (bay and white) filly 42”, born 1 May 2006

A stunning, well-marked, very feminine filly with a beautiful head and her father's extravagant and ground-covering movement.  Broken and produced by Natalie Greasley.  In 2011 Brig qualified NPS Picton (third in the final), Open FR and Young Pony.  This season, 2012, she has already qualified NPS Grand Prix and Young Pony and will do the YP final at NPS Champs in August.

Stunning to look at and naturally well-balanced, with the sweetest and most amenable temperament, Brig is one of the best ridden Shetlands around at the moment and she will go right to the top in the right hands.  She has the extra advantage of being able to do CHAPS classes as well as breed classes and mixed M&M's.

Pictured July 2012 with Hope at the Shetland Performance Show..

Pictured August 2011.

COPPICE MIDNIGHT

Sapphire Vasheer

ex Coppice Dolly Marie
Black gelding to make 39+”, born 12 August 2009

At last!  Dolly Marie held onto this one so long we thought he'd be a yearling by the time he was born!  Her first foal, a very smart, jet black, chunky little bloke with a lovely broad head and huge eye.  Still a bit gangly so we think he'll put on a spurt and make around 40".  A big-moving pony for the ridden job.

Pictured May 2012.

COPPICE JOSIE-KATE

Coppice Fanfare

ex Earlswood Joy
Bay and white filly to make 39”, born 1 April 2008

Pictured May 2013

COPPICE EDWIN

Coppice Bandsman
ex Lockinge Elspeth
Chestnut, 39.5” born 1997

Ed is so handsome and so full of character, we just love him. At the 2006 SPSBS Breed Show he was champion gelding overall! Ed had six weeks' training with Natalie Greasley in April '06 and did two years with Tabs Smith, including workers and turns out to have a real 'ping' and loves his job. He qualified for the Picton in 2007.

2008 saw him start a partnership with Ellie Jones and in 2009 they are having a wonderful time in FR, taking the mini championship at Leicester County, reserve at NCPA Derbys and gaining a well-deserved fourth in the HOYS FR qualifier at Staffs Country Festival, among a host of smart Welsh and Dartmoors.

COPPICE DAISY-BELLE

Coppice Bandsman

ex Coppice Dolly Daydream (Coppice Dandy Jack ex Coppice Dolly Diana)
Bay 40”, born 2002, 8 years

Daisy is a super, quality mare, very typey with bone and substance, a very pretty head and lots of hair.  Professionally broken to ride by Natalie Greasley last year and only lightly shown last season. Now in her second year under saddle and competing novice ridden, FR, LR and LR jumping, juniors and opens - she goes as well in a snaffle or two reins and has just qualified for the open FR final at NPS Champs*.  Jumping small courses off lead at home and has a natural talent for the future.

Also shown in hand and placed well since a yearling, including champion Midlands in Hand 2005, champion Fillongley 2009 etc and shown with success in young handlers.  Bred a super foal in 2007.

COPPICE DANDINI

Coppice Everyman

ex Coppice Daisy Belle (Coppice Bandsman ex Coppice Dolly Daydream)
Bay gelding to make 39"/40", born 19 May 2007

Daisy's first foal.  A smart, chunky and extremely forward  little chap with a big body and good legs to make a typey ridden and in hand pony with quality and substance.  Also has the sensible and bold temperament to drive.  Ready to break and bring on for the 2011 season.

Regrettably for sale as we did want to keep him for ourselves but as we're keeping Pagan, our other three year old gelding, we'll have to concentrate on him instead.

Pictured August 2010.

A sweet little mare with a pretty head, well made and typey.  Shown in hand with success as a youngster and bred four super foals.

Professionally broken by Natalie Greasley in Feb/Mar this year ('09) and going sweetly on and off the lead.  Real show quality and would make a classy lead rein pony for a small jockey, as well as a nice in-hand mare.

Had her first outing under saddle at Leicester County and was placed sixth in a good class of smart Welsh and Dartmoors. Adores children and loves being busy, groomed and fussed.  Good to do in all ways.

Daydream enjoyed herself at the National Shetland Performance Show, Malvern, July 11 and 12 2009, in a variety of classes - lead rein, first ridden and in-hand, taking it all in her stride.

Now sold to Emma Moffat and family.

EARLSWOOD ISADORA

Sapphire Vision ex Eclipse Indiana,  Bred by Chris and Ruth Gwilliam, Black 39”, born 21 May 2003

Issy is a quality mare with substance, very friendly and sweet.  Her first foal in 2008 was a good quality filly by Sapphire Vasheer.  Not covered for 2009 and will not be covered this year either, as we are cutting down.

For sale through no fault of her own, as we like her very much, but at only six and with such a good pedigree she has great potential as a brood mare with another stud or as a child's ridden pony, as she has such a good temperament.  But still a very regretful sale.

COPPICE PATIENCE

Coppice Fanfare

ex Coppice Posy
Black to make 40”, born late May 2003

Posy and Fanfare appear to have misunderstood the rules, because this filly was ordered as a skewbald!  However, we've forgiven them both as Patience has turned out to be a very smart filly with good limbs, a pretty head and lovely topline.  Not shown due to lack of time.  Patience will make a very smart ridden show mare and performance broodmare, with the right temperament for children and also for driving.  Sold to Clare Armstrong of Suffolk.

COPPICE ELIZABETH

Scamells Cracker

ex Glenfall Exquisite

Black 38”, born 1994

A smashing little mare, with a good body and bone like her mother, and a strong Wetherden look about her. She bred several good, big fillies whilst with Julie Fisher and has now decided to have colts.  Had a super black colt to Coppice Bandsman in 2006 and has now gone to Sapphire Vasheer.  Lizzie has a sweet temperament, foals easily and is a good mother.  Very sad sale, as she was a little small for our stud and we have to cut down on our black mares to expand our coloured stock.

Photo shows Lizzie in May 2004 with Coppice Erik.
